Landler, Mark, and Gardiner Harris. “Trump, Citing Pakistan as a ‘Safe Haven’ for Terrorists, Freezes Aid.” The New York Times, The New York Times, 4 Jan. 2018, www.nytimes.com/2018/01/04/us/politics/trump-pakistan-aid.html?rref=collection%2Ftimestopic%2FTerrorism&action=click&contentCollection=timestopics®ion=stream&module=stream_unit&version=latest&contentPlacement=3&pgtype=collection.
As Pakistan used to be a reliable country to the United States, it has been shown that they are capricious. The U.S. uses routes in Pakistan to deliver necessities to the troops in the neighboring country, Afghanistan, and at the time were at peace. Once President Trump found out that Pakistan was hiding terrorists in their country, he had decided to eliminate the shipping of goods through their country. “The State Department announced that it had placed Pakistan on a special watch list for what it described as severe violations of religious freedoms,” shows that the country has become less reliable than they used to be, and must be watched to ensure that the U.S. will be safe from terrorism.
