with Terrorism Statistics." The New York Times, edited by New York Times

A report was released by the Trump administration covering the idea that immigrants were linked with terrorism in the USA. The report showed statistics proving how a vast majority of people born in foreign countries were convicted of international terrorism. Therefore, the Trump administration believes that the current system of immigration puts our country at risk and wishes to put new restrictions on immigration. As it turns out, “This misleading report relies on manufactured data to perpetuate a myth that immigrants-specifically, those from Muslim countries- are dangerous elements within our country,” said by Jerrold Nadler and Bennie Thompson in a joint statement. This proves how the whole affair was based off of an influence to escalate debate over an immigration compromise that should’ve been reported in September, and that the comment Trump’s administration made was not technically true.
