It was reported that a double suicide bombing occurred at a marketplace in Maiduguiri, a northern city in Nigeria. This act of terrorism resulted in 12 deaths and over 40 people injured. Investigators suspect that the Islamist extremist group called Boko Haram is responsible for the events that took place, due to their history of terrorism against other sites such as Muna Garage. In the nine years that this extremist group has been around, they have killed over 20,000 people.
